My son, age 7 1/2, had his first PB&J (organic peanut butter, organic fruit preserves, sprouted grain bread) toast tonight. You see, his actual dinner was a black bean quesadilla with salsa. However, the salsa was a different brand than I usually buy, and he did not like it. He asked for toast with jelly only, but I told him he needed to have peanut butter on it and that the jelly was just for extra flavor. So he had it, and he liked it. Six months ago, I would have added cheese to the quesadilla for him to eat it. Six months ago, I may have just served a cheese quesadilla with no beans at all. Today, it's plants one way (beans, salsa) or another (peanut butter). :)
p.s.: Wonderful smoothie success today. I used frozen cherries for the first time, they gave the smoothie a beautiful deep red color and the taste was excellent! :)
